Attendees under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult and consideration of the type of event should be given before attending. Please ask if you have questions or concerns.

Defcon welcomes attendees with disabilities. The Park Barn Centre is used as a social day centre during the week, so has good access and disabled toilets.

The disabled parking bays won’t be in operation, unless they are needed, so if you have mobility issues please let us know and we will reserve you a parking space.

Games Library

The Games Shop in Aldershot will once again be providing a library of games for you to borrow during the event. They have also kindly provided prize support for our events.

Free play for practice should be available, subject to space, for most of the event. Championship races with a £1 entry fee and a small prize, depending on interest.

Pandemic Survival

Saturday 16th Nov 11:00 – 12:00
Sunday 17th Nov 11:00 – 12:00

In Pandemic Survival teams of 2 players compete against each other to be the first to cure all the diseases or be the last team standing as civilization collapses.

Both teams have the same events, city cards and infections and victory is down top their choices.

Victory will require aggressive play towards curing!

To join in the event you need a good understanding of the Pandemic base game. Each team will also need a copy of the game. Some spare copies may be available on a first come first served basis.

Entry to the event is £1 per player which goes to the Oakleaf Enterprise.

There will be a small prize in the form of the Aldershot Games Shop store credit for the winning team.

This variation of Pandemic is quick and really fun, certainly renewed my interest in the game after a long hiatus when I played in an event a few years ago.

Requires a minimum of 3 teams (6 players) to run.

There will not be a bring and buy at Defcon. However a notice board will be available for people to post games they would like to sell. This can also be done via the facebook group.

Due to storage limitations, please do not bring games for sale into the centre if you can avoid it.

Try to restrict yourself to bringing a few games priced to sell, preferably with trades in advance, rather than all your old junk!

Food & drink

Free water, tea, instant coffee and biscuits will be available.

Additionally, soft drinks and a limited selection of crisps and snacks will be on sale.

Tesco’s Guildford is a 2 minute drive or 5 minute walk from the Park Barn Centre.

Attendees are permitted to bring their own food and drinks.

Alcohol is not permitted.

Guildford has a wide range of eating establishments, many of which will deliver to the centre.

Please be respectful of the centre and other gamers when ordering, eating and disposing of food.
